In 2014, I opened my practice, Peter W. Klein, P.A., with offices in Boca Raton, Florida. I served as a partner and general counsel of Brockway Moran & Partners, Inc., a middle market private equity firm, from January 2000 until 2020. Prior to joining Brockway Moran & Partners, I spent nearly 14 years with Trivest, Inc. (now Trivest Partners), a middle market private equity firm based in Miami, Florida, where I served as Managing Director and general counsel. Before joining Trivest, I practiced law in Cleveland and Chicago.
During my private equity career, I served as a director of many Brockway Moran & Partners and Trivest portfolio companies. My decades of experience in private equity have enabled me to provide clients with sophisticated, pragmatic and efficient representation.
I received a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1981 and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1982. My undergraduate degree is from Albion College and I spent a year as a visiting student at the University of Sussex, in the United Kingdom. I am an instrument-rated private pilot, enjoy listening to and playing music, and am interested in cinema, history, landscape and gardens.
